What is RACHEL?

RACHEL is a collection of the world's leading educational websites that runs on a server that does not need the internet, it includes the following sites: Wikipedia, the world's largest encyclopedia, Ka-Lite, a version of Khan Academy for places without internet, The MINEDUC Guatemala module, a collection of material released by the Guatemalan Ministry of Education, also has modules from the ministries of education from Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, Mexico, Ecuador, among other countries. Contains the Wikihow site, Latin America Library, Philosophical Library, Great Books of the World, Tocomadera, Hesperian Health Books, and many more.

RACHEL is a constantly growing digital library.

How does it work?

It works through a server that emits a Wi-Fi or wireless signal, allowing devices that are in the range of 35 meters (can be extended with a router and / or access point or repeater) to connect for free. It works on smartphones, tablets, laptops, iPads, and even desktop computers. To access the library, you only need a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or another. Currently Mundo Posible works with two types of servers, a Raspberry-pi with 128GB of educational content that is commonly called RACHEL-Pi and an Intel CAP or Access Point with options for 500GB and 1TB space called RACHEL-Plus.
